Privacy policy
A short policy for a site that collects very little. No accounts, no newsletter, no advertising network, and nothing sold to anybody.

What we do not do
- There are no user accounts and no logins.
- There is no newsletter and no email list.
- We run no advertising network and no retargeting pixels.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal information with anybody.
- We do not build profiles of individual visitors.
What is collected
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which buy links get clicked. It collects standard web analytics data — pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, referring site — and one custom event called affiliate_click that records when a product link is clicked, which merchant it pointed at, and the page it was on. It records no personal identity. Google’s handling of that data is governed by Google’s privacy policy.
The contact form
If you use the contact form, the name, email address, subject and message you enter are sent to us by email via Microsoft Graph. They are not written to a database and there is no stored submission archive — the email in our inbox is the only copy. We use your email address to reply and for nothing else.
The form also submits a hidden field and a page-load timestamp. Those are anti-spam measures and contain no information about you.
Affiliate links
Product links route through /go/ on this domain and then redirect to Amazon with our Associates tracking tag attached. Amazon sets its own cookies at that point and its handling of them is governed by Amazon’s privacy notice. We receive aggregate commission reporting from Amazon; we never see who bought what.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard server request logs including IP addresses for security and operational purposes. See Vercel’s privacy policy.
Cookies
Baffleworks sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics sets cookies for measurement, and Amazon sets cookies once you follow a product link to its site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works normally without them, and blocking analytics affects nothing you can see.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
- Block analytics cookies, or use a browser extension that does. Nothing breaks.
- Do not use the contact form if you would rather not send us an email address.
- Ask us to delete any message you have sent, at info@baffleworks.com.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of the page changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, which is rather the point.
