What this site is

Baffleworks is an independent publication about excluding wildlife from bird feeders and gardens. It compiles published manufacturer specifications, cites public authorities such as Audubon, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and university cooperative extension services, and shows its arithmetic.

What this site is not

• It is not a test lab report. We do not test products, own most of them, or measure anything ourselves. Every specification quoted is the manufacturer’s own. See how we pick.
• It is not professional advice. Nothing here is wildlife-management, veterinary, legal or structural advice. An animal inside a building, or damage to a structure, needs a licensed professional.
• It is not a retailer. We hold no stock, take no orders and handle no returns. Every purchase is a contract between you and the retailer.

Accuracy and reliance

We take accuracy seriously and every figure is sourced, but specifications change without notice, products are discontinued, and listings are edited by their sellers. Always check the current product page before buying, and confirm dimensions against your own mount.

Content is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slate Mill Group is not liable for any loss, damage or injury arising from use of this site or from any product purchased through it.

Local law and wildlife

Wildlife is regulated differently in every state and often at county level. Trapping, relocation, exclusion during breeding season and the use of certain deterrents may be restricted or prohibited where you live. Nothing here overrides local law, and it is your responsibility to check it. We do not recommend trapping, relocation or poison anywhere on this site.
